We're Engaged!!!

It's official; from this point forward, 'the boyfriend' will now be referred to as 'the fiance'. Wohoo! I apologize to anyone who reads this who I have not had the chance to tell over the phone or in person. I did try to reach everyone I thought should not have to hear over email or this blog, but I can't wait any longer to spread the word and tell anyone who will listen how deliriously happy I am! For the sake of space, I won't detail how it happened, but suffice it to say it was incredibly clever and he totally surprised me--so much so that I was too shocked to cry. Instead, I was a babbling idiot who over the course of the night, kept randomly repeating, "oh my god, we're engaged!".

On a more serious note, this is probably the biggest and most important thing that's ever happened to me and I am literally stunned when I think about how easy this decision was to make. Is our relationship easy? No, they never are, but it's also not that hard. Sure, there are times when issues have popped up and we've had to step back, take a deep breath, and dive in head-first knowing dealing with it might be a little unpleasant, but it's never been so easy to love someone or so easy to commit to making a relationship work. He is my whole world, he is my partner and he is my best friend. Is there any better way to begin a life together?
