If Only I Were Half As Creative.....

This past weekend marked the fiance's big play. No, not a play he was in, the play he writes and directs for his school. Yes, you heard correctly, he writes it. Now, this is only the 2nd year I've been lucky enough to see this production, but what a production it is! Seriously, when I was in school, our plays were nothing like this. While I can give literally zero details (in order to protect the fiance from his internet-savvy students who might somehow stumble onto this site), I can give my completly and totally biased opinion that the show was awesome and I was one proud significant other. I also rather enjoyed being able to watch the fiance in his element, with students and parents gushing about what a great teacher he is. I also had a moment of glory as the woman behind the man when a co-director announced our engagement during intermission.

There was a moment during one of the shows when I looked over and saw the fiance kneeling down, with his head cocked to the side, listening to make sure the mic was on for the singer, and my heart literally skipped a beat (or two, or three). I thought about how much I admire him, how proud I am of him, and I had another moment (because I've had several over the last few weeks) when I realized I get to spend the rest of my life with him. Someone, please tell me this giddy euphoria never really ends??
